Our Mission here at Elsa Widenmann, is to build a caring community of learners where children, staff and parents work together to meet the needs of each child. We believe "No significant learning happens without first a significant relationship".
Visitors On Campus
We welcome all parents and community members to Elsa Widenmann Elementary. As a part of Safe School Policy we do require that all our visitors check in at the main office before entering our campus.
We do not have supervision for students on the yard until 8:15. Breakfast begins in the gym at 8:00, so students are welcome to come in to eat. Please do not drop students off at school before 8:00. It is not safe! There is no outside supervision until 8:15. First bell rings at 8:25 when students should be lined up and waiting for their teacher.

A Message From Principal Hatter
Dear Families of Elsa Widenmann Elementary,
Welcome to the 2016-17 school year! We are off to a fantastic start at our Award Winning Full Service Community School!
For the past 5 years as the proud principal here at Elsa Widenmann, building leadership qualities in our students has been facilitated by our school-wide use of Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies (PBIS), known to our students as "The Widenmann Way".
Widenmann Wildcats take pride in themselves when they demonstrate the Widenmann Way:
1. Be Respectful 2. Be Responsible 3. Be Safe
The Widenmann staff is committed to preparing your child for the 21st century through our continued use of Pearson Math, I-magine Learning, Accelerated Reader, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math). This year we have also adopted a new Language Arts curriculum that is directly connected to the Common Core Standards for all grades.
We appreciate the support that you as Wildcat parents will be giving us throughout the year with your child's learning, both at home and at school, and will look to see you at all the school events that are calendared for this amazing year of "LEARNING SOMETHING NEW EVERYDAY!!"
Thank you all and lets make this another stellar year!
"College and Careers begin right here."
