Visitors On Campus

We welcome all parents and community members to Elsa Widenmann Elementary.  As a part of Safe School Policy we do require that all our visitors check in at the main office before entering our campus.

Early Arrivals:

We do not have supervision for students on the yard until  8:15.  Breakfast begins in the gym at 8:00, so students are welcome to come in to eat.  Please do not drop students off at school before 8:00.  It is not safe! There is no outside supervision until 8:15. First bell rings at 8:25 when students should be lined up and waiting for their teacher.

ATTENTION All Parents!!

  • CAASPP Testing begins April 25th
  • Attendance is important during testing. Please have students at school on time at 8:30 am.
  • Please be sure your child gets a good night's rest and eats breakfast in the morning!
  • Make sure your child's Emergency Card has CURRENT phone numbers at ALL TIMES.  Emergencies can and do happen and without current/active phone numbers it can seriously delay getting the help your child may need.  Call or come by the office to update the Emergency card.

A Message From Principal Hatter

Dear Families of Elsa Widenmann Elementary,

As we move forward toward June, we are working with your children everyday to prepare them for the up coming State SBAC.  This is the computerized test for grades 2-5 which requires students to have keyboarding skills. All  students have been receiving keyboarding lessons on a regular basis and we invite you to have your child practice their keyboarding skills at home by using the Edutyping link located on this page.  Edutyping is the  keyboarding program our students are using at school.  Your child can log in to the program using their same User name and password they use for it at school.  If you have any questions  or need help, please do not hesitate to ask your child's teacher. They will be happy to assist you.  As always, please have your child read a book daily or listen to them read from their book and ask them questions about what they have read in their book.  Remember to always "LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERYDAY!!"

We thank you all for your continuing support!
